Here are some basic, easy-to-make recipes, as well as a range of ready-to-use products.
aromatic shampoos
Mix the following ingredients in a bottle:
- 1 liter warm spring or mineral water
- + 100 ml neutral base
- + between 20 and 40 drops of Solub HE (depending on child/adult use, see below).
- for an adult: 20 drops
- children aged 5-12: 10 drops
- children aged 2-5: 5 drops
Shake well (and before each use) to ensure a homogeneous mixture. Apply a small amount to wet hair, and massage into hair and scalp for a few moments. Rinse first with clean water and then with cider vinegar-based rinse lotion (see below).
Aromatic conditioners
All hair types, except oily hair
Mix the following ingredients to form a smooth cream:
- 1 egg yolk
- + 1 teaspoon vegetable glycerin
- + 2 drops organic Rosemary essential oil
- + 2 drops Lavender essential oil
- + a little milk powder.
Oily hair
Mix the following ingredients to form a smooth cream:
- 2 tablespoons brandy
- + 1 teaspoon honey
- + 1 egg
- + 2 drops Lemongrass essential oil
- + 2 drops organic Rosemary essential oil
- + a little milk powder.
Use: Apply the mixture after shampooing, massaging gently into hair and scalp. Leave on for at least 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Follow with Rinse Lotion.
Rinse lotion - All hair types
Mix in a bottle
- 2 glasses cider vinegar
- + 2 tablespoons essential oils.
Leave for four days. Pour 1/2 glass of this mixture into 1 liter of warm water. After shampooing, rinse hair with clean water and then with this mixture.
Styling lotion
All hair types
Mix the following ingredients in a spray bottle:
- 2 teaspoons Lavender essential oil
- + 2 teaspoons organic Rosemary essential oil
- + 1/2 teaspoon Geranium essential oil
- + 1/2 teaspoon Juniper essential oil.
Dry, damaged hair
Mix the following ingredients in a spray bottle:
- 2 teaspoons Lavender essential oil
- + 2 teaspoons organic Rosemary essential oil
- + 1/2 teaspoon Geranium essential oil
- + 1/2 teaspoon Jojoba vegetable oil.
Use: Between shampoos, this lotion will keep your hair shiny, supple and full of vitality. Pour a few drops of lotion into the palm of your hand, rub them together, then run your hands over your head. The non-greasy essential oils will then be absorbed.
Regenerating masks - Dry or brittle hair
Recipe 1: Mix the following ingredients in a saucepan and warm in a bain-marie:
- 2 tablespoons castor oil
- + 1 tablespoon olive oil
- + 10 drops Lavender essential oil
- + 5 drops Clary Sage essential oil
- + 5 drops Sandalwood essential oil
For long or thick hair, double the quantities indicated.
Recipe 2: Mix in a bowl, in the following order:
- 1 egg yolk
- + 2 teaspoonscastor oil
- + 1 teaspoon honey
- + a little powdered milk (to obtain a smooth paste)
- + 2 drops sandalwood essential oil
- + 2 drops clary sage essential oil.
Castor oil can be replaced by pure shea butter, coconut oil or neem oil. Apply to dry hair before shampooing. Gently massage into hair and scalp. Cover hair with cling film and then with a warm towel. Leave on for at least an hour or overnight. Wash hair with a mild shampoo and rinse with cider vinegar lotion.
Anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner
For the shampoo: use 100 ml of shampoo or neutral base and add the following essential oils:
- +8 drops Sage essential oil,
- +18 drops organic Rosemary essential oil
- +10 drops thyme essential oil.
This shampoo (use nothing else) will help prevent the appearance of dandruff.
For greater effectiveness, make a cider vinegar-based rinse lotion:
- 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
- + 15 drops thyme essential oil
- + 15 drops of lemon eucalyptus essential oil
- + 10 drops Sage essential oil
- + 15 drops carrot essential oil.
Mix these ingredients and add 80 ml spring water. Use as a regular anti-dandruff shampoo After shampooing, massage a tablespoon of this mixture into the scalp. Click here for other anti-dandruff essential oil recipes.

- Hair loss: Lemon, Cedar, Juniper, Rosemary cineole

- General hair care: Cedar, Geranium, Lavender, Rosemary cineole, Clary sage, Ylang Ylang
